How money moves (and doesn't) on BrandHive.

BrandHive is the system of record, not a payment rail. We never hold, move or guarantee anyone's money. Here's exactly what happens.

STEP 1

The order is written.

Your agent writes the order; the commission is calculated and recorded on the spot.

STEP 2

The brand pays the agent, directly.

You pay your agent from your own bank account. BrandHive prepares the payment file and records what was paid. BrandHive never holds the money.

ABA / NZ direct credit
STEP 3

Both sides confirm.

The owner marks it paid; the agent confirms it arrived. One shared record, both sides sign off.

Money moves owner → agent, never through BrandHive. We're the ledger beside the flow.

  1. 1

An agent writes an order. Your commission is calculated on the spot, using the same maths the brand configured, visible to both sides from the moment the order exists.

  2. 2

The brand approves the order and the commission. Every step is on the record: what was sold, to whom, in which territory, and what it earns you.

  3. 3

The brand pays you directly, from its own bank account. BrandHive generates the payment file (ABA in Australia, direct credit in New Zealand) so paying every agent is one bank upload instead of a night of manual transfers. The brand then marks the payment as made.

  4. 4

You confirm the money arrived. A payout isn't closed until the person who was owed the money says it landed. If the amount is wrong or nothing arrives, you flag it in the app, on the record, against that exact payment.

That's the whole design. No money passes through us, so there's no float, no held funds, and no fine print about when “we” pay you, because we don't. What BrandHive does is make the numbers impossible to lose and hard to argue with: both sides look at the same ledger, from the first line item to the confirmed payout.

What BrandHive does

  • calculates every commission in the open
  • generates the bank payment file (AU ABA / NZ direct credit)
  • records what's owed, what's marked paid and what's confirmed received
  • gives the agent a flag for "not received / wrong amount"
  • keeps statements exportable for both sides

What BrandHive never does

  • holds or transfers funds
  • guarantees payment or payment timing
  • sets payment terms between a brand and its agents
  • takes a percentage of sales

If something's wrong

Flag it from your settlement screen (“not received” or “wrong amount”) and it's recorded against that exact payout, visible to both sides, with the full history behind it.

Common questions

Does BrandHive pay the agents?

No. Brands pay their agents directly by bank transfer. BrandHive generates the payment file, records what was paid, and asks the agent to confirm it arrived.

How fast do agents get paid?

That's between each brand and its agents, set out in the agreement they both accept on BrandHive. What we add is visibility: every commission's status (pending, approved, paid, confirmed) is on one screen for both sides.

What if a payment doesn't arrive?

The agent flags it against that exact payout in the app ("not received / wrong amount"). Both sides see the flag and the full history behind it.

Why does BrandHive ask for my bank details?

Because your brands pay you directly into your account. Without bank details on file, you cannot be paid.
